Hello and thanks so much for visiting my website. I’m Lisa and I’m a UK based wedding photographer.
I decided I wanted to be a wedding photographer whilst watching Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep in the Bridges of Madison County. It was the bit where Clint asked Meryl if he could put his film in her fridge. That was the exact moment I knew I was meant to be a photographer. I also knew I wanted to photograph people who are in love and tell stories with photographs, and to find those real and honest moments between them. I can remember the very first wedding I photographed like it was yesterday. I loved every single minute of it, and still do some 400 weddings later.
I can remember what Chris said to Natalie during his speech at their wedding in 2007. He told her he knew she was for him when she knocked up a jam sponge and custard during the adverts to Corrie. It really is what I was meant to do and I put my heart and soul into telling your story.
I love natural, honest photography. I love real moments and real expressions. I seem to have an instinct for expressing the relationships and connections between families and friends. One of my favourite parts of a wedding day is after the ceremony where everyone hugs and kisses you. I love the pride in your grandad’s face as he holds your hand and wishes you well. I love the joy on your faces as you walk down the aisle together. I love the bit where your dad sees you in your dress for the very first time. I love how your faces look as your friends shower you in confetti. I love how even after you’ve just got married you’ll still sort his tie out! I love every little nuance and expression. You can’t pose those moments.
I’m observant and discreet and I have an intuitive eye for details as well as for emotion. You’ll hardly notice me. Even when I’m photographing the two of you after your ceremony, away from your family and friends you’ll hardly be aware of me. It’s a lovely few minutes to catch your breath and have some alone time and some couple photographs taken.
I also include some group shots of families, bridesmaids and groomsmen. I try to keep these to a minimum so it only takes ten or fifteen minutes and you can spend your day celebrating with family and friends rather than posing for photographs for hours.
From the details of your wedding gown to a quiet glance, I’ll tell your story with the most beautiful, evocative pictures you’ll ever have.
I’ve been voted amongst the top ten wedding photographers in the UK. Professional Photographer and Digital Photographer magazines featured my work as one of the most sought after wedding photographers in the UK and the editor of Bride Magazine booked me to photograph her own wedding.
Please use the contact page or drop me an email for a brochure with more information on coverage options, a full price guide and details of our beautiful Queensberry wedding albums. I live in Cartmel Fell in the Lake District and travel all over the UK for wedding photography commissions.
