Matt and Cam’s Hampton Court House wedding was a wonderful hat-trick for me because I photographed both Matt’s sister and brother’s weddings over the past few years so to get all three of them was wonderful because I got to see them all again. The day was rainy and not at all what they were hoping for having had weeks of glorious sunshine leading up to the wedding day. Cam was understandably feeling a bit down in the dumps about it during the bridal prep, mainly because she was facing a window for make-up and could see the weather getting worse and worse. Fortunately Hampton Court House is a beautiful building so there were lovely places inside to take photographs. The weather perked up later on and just before dusk we managed to get outside for a few minutes in the courtyard. The London Essentials entertained the guests from the reception right through until late in the evening. It was absolutely spectacular to watch them entertain the guests with such gusto, humour, smiles and a huge double bass. The photographs tell the best story so I’ll stop waffling on..
p.s. you can still have wonderful photographs even when it rains. I think the main worry couples have in the UK is the weather and the question I am asked most often is ‘What shall we do if it rains?’
