Helen & Dale’s Rookery Hall Wedding

Helen and Dale had a wonderful wedding on the lawn at Rookery Hall. I’m always delighted when weddings are outside because it’s such a rare event with our weather. I met Dale and Helen last year after I had photographed their friends wedding so was very happy when they booked me for theirs. Helen wore a beautiful Ian Stuart gown and had orange calla lilies and orchids in her bouquet. Caroline Law did an amazing job helping them plan the wedding and creating the stationery. Dale was in a bit of a stress when I arrived because he was trying to perfect his speech. The table in his hotel room was covered with A4 paper screwed up into little balls! It’s a well known fact amongst Dale and Helen’s friends that they are a bit nuts and Dale thinks he’s a superhero (with a huge list of life threatening hobbies as evidence.) As a surprise they had Dale’s sky diving team land on the lawn at Rookery Hall in spite of gale force winds (in the sky diving world anyway – it was just a bit of a breeze to regular people
